Paula (AKA "The Boss lady")

I have been involved with animals for a very long time, 50 years in fact…. now that makes me feel old!

The joy of working with animals is that you never stop learning….there is so much new information and so many new theories, my bedtime reading list is extensive and I love it.

I’ve had a varied career, leaving school and training for my British Horse Society exams, there was no looking back. My first dog arrived when I was 18 years old. Weedy Woo Magoo was a collie cross who was thrown from a car in Woking. How could I say no? She was a fabulous little girl with so much sparkle, she was my introduction in the world of the herding breeds, now my passion.

Over the years, I’ve been owned by kelpies and collies. I’ve competed in Agility, Scent work, Obedience (this was a brief dabble…. not my thing, I have two left feet lol), Canicross and Bikejor.

I have to say, out of all the sports, Bikejor is my favourite…. it’s so much fun, and the dogs love it.

Taz and Maggot are both enjoying a slower pace of life now, but sometime soon, there may well be a new addition to the household…..

Sally (AKA "The Crazy One")

My life has always been about animals, from playing vet with my teddies (very important to keep them healthy!) to rescuing my first animal at the age of 14 (Thomas the kitten).

At 17, I joined the MoD, doing my dog handling course at Melton Mowbray (cracking pork pies). And things just escalated from there! Boarding kennels, Livery yards, Rescues... I've done it all!

I share my life with a very patient partner, four children, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, snakes, lizards and Gary the Tortoise!

My knowledge of animals is forever expanding; there is something new to learn every day. I'm passionate about what I do and love helping people and their pets.

I'm also a lover of red wine, cheese and Jelly Babies 😉

Helen (AKA "The Sensible One")

I've been working with animals for as long as I've been allowed to work!

I started out as a very keen teenager at the stables, which then turned into a career of looking after horses. This is where I really started to learn about caring for different animals. I'd always loved other animals, but couldn't have them as a child, but 'what do you know?' working on a family-run yard comes with a variety of different animals to look after! Yay for me!

I've had a lot of experience rehabilitating animals after injury/ illness and keeping them fit and healthy in general.

These days, I concentrate on my own dogs doing agility and general obedience training. I'm also one of the trainers at the Haslemere and District Dog Club, where we run classes for agility and the Kennel Club's Good Citizens Award scheme.
